The "factory" setting for both VFO A and VFO B is LSB mode (0).

yes BFO control by SI5351 is still on my list!
But first I want to concentrate on the basic version and make sure that
all features work properly with 5Mhz VFO (raduino_v1.xx)
Then, once raduino_v1 is more or less finalized, I want to adapt the
software for 19 MHz VFO and BFO control by SI5351 (raduino_v2.xx)
Ideally v2 should be one universal version that supports both analaog BFO
as well as digital BFO (without having to manually edit the code). But we
are nearly running out of program space, so I'm not sure if that will be
possible. If not we may need to use #ifdef compiler control or maintain
versions v1 and v2 as seperate branches.

Wow that looks impressive Jack!
I haven't studied the manual yet (just looked through it briefly) but as I
understand it involves quite a few hardware mods.
Will your new code also still work on a standard unmodified BITX40 board?
Or is it a dedicated sketch for your mods?

Yes I wasn't too worried. The best part of this radio is the wealth of information on mods and support from the online ham community. You really have to start from the Internet when working with this radio and gather all the information you're interested in before you start tinkering.?

No, the only reason I said that was I have no clue what the cost would be to ship to other countries. Let's do this:
Pay for US postage regardless of where you are in the world. I will send you your order. If the postage charge on the order is greater than expected, you pay the additional charge. For example, lets assume that 1 board shipped in the US is $6.50. My best guess right now is that it's going to cost me $0.72 postage to send a board anywhere in the US. Let's further say that you live in Australia and the postage on the outside of the package is $1.72 (US). You would then send me an additional $1 for the additional postage cost.?
It's an honor system, but it's the only way I can think of that doesn't delay shipping your board.

I'll take those who have already written and get ready to process their orders. Also, I may have been confusing on the cost. Tomorrow I'll go to the Post Office to find out what the charge is to mail a single board. If it is less than a $1 (which I expect it will be), the cost for the first board will be $6.50. If you order 2 boards it will be $13.20, 3 boards will be $19.90 (= $6.50 x 3 + 2 x $.20) and so on. To figure out the cost it's $6.50 for each board, plus $.20 additional postage for the 2nd and each subsequent board. If the postage is more than a dollar each, I may have to re-figure the costs.?
