sBitX v3 for sale
Hi,
?
I am selling my xBitX v3, only bought (ordered) 05-21-24 directly from HF Signals.
?
I thought I would use it more but find my IC-705 and SDR Control (MacOS) easier, or I should say more familiar.
?
It has JJ's 64Bit OS and corresponding sBitX version, haven't updated to recent release.
?
I will include a USB drive with the config & settings backuped and a 50ohm dummy load.
?
It is in its origanl packing box with the paper work showing the calibration settings and package content.
?
I am looking for ?350, saving import duty, I am in the UK.? Can post (?10 Special Delivery) or collection.? International would depend on shipping costs.
?
Also, if interested I have two Zeee Power 3S LiPo 5200mAh with an ISDT Q6 Nano charger and cables for ?75.00 plus ?5 postage.
?

zBitx crowdfunding
#poll-notice
Assuming the designer promotes the initiative,
would you partecipate in crowdfunding the production of q.ty 100 batch of an assembled version of the zBtix? The crowdfunding would be of the all-or-nothing, reward kind, so no charging would take place if the goal is not reached, but there is no guarantee the production would actually start if the goal is reached. Tentative goal: 20,000USD (to be defined). (so the funds provided by the participants would be about 200USD each) The reward would be a discount coupon, for the same amount, on the purchase of a completed / tested unit (tentative price 300USD). All the results of the project would be published as open source. What is the zBitx:? What is crowdfunding: Comments from Ashhar Farhan: /g/BITX20/message/113592 /g/BITX20/message/113620
Thank you for voting.

sBitx_log file export into cqrlog without GRID - partially solved
Today I made some QSOs and first edited the exported adif file using Notepad++.
I renamed STX_STRING to my gridsquare and I renamed SRX_STRING to gridsquare after that I copied it back to the RPi and imported it into cqrlog. ?
Data that was missing until now appeared in the GRID cells.
The names stx_string and srx_string were, in my opinion, poorly and arbitrarily chosen by sbitx. I suggest that the coders consider correcting the names if possible.

It is worth using the data provided by the manufacturer.
But if you like variety and modify these, you will either improve or degrade the output level.

#diversity #sdrplay SDRuno diversity in sBitx
#diversity
#sdrplay
...just wondering: has someone tryed installing SDRPlay sw in the sBitx? The sw "should" be binary compatible, but SDRPlay removed the images and stopped development. However the last versions are still available in the net (the Internet never forgets...): That doesn't mean it will actually work on different hw of course. But it would be really nice if a double-channel version of sBITX could do diversity with SDRuno... Sci-fi I guess... |

the title and the question are incorrect,
because I want to transfer the content from sbitx_log in .adif format,
which is correct sBitx_log file EXPORT into cqrlog

I'm also interested in CW improvements?to the straight key response (since I sometimes use an external keyer).? ?I tried looking at devfarhan and modem_cs but I couldn't really figure out what improvements have been made. Can someone summarize any improvements made over, say, the last year, that would improve the CW response to the straight key?? ?I last tried that months ago and my impression from V3 code was that it still had some delays.? ?Does it still check only every 10-20 times per second, and is this adequate??? Sorry for the multiple questions, but figuring all this out is tedious. Re: Renewed attempt to hack together a workable PA #uBITX V6

Will do.? The individual W8DIZ amps are very flat from 1-30 MHz. The spice model as I posted has a 0.5 dB drop from about 14 to 30 MHz for the pair. I'm cautiously optimistic, especially since this effort is based on advice from Allison.? I've finally learned enough to understand at least some of what she was trying to teach. Hihi

I got my sBitx yesterday and got it on the air today.? I've made three contacts with it already on 30m CW, but I'm glad to hear that someone is working on the keyer. Right out of the box, the keying is very rough.
?
Is there a thread here that will show me how to get this dev code, so I can try it out? |

With respect, Jeff, you'll not get BITX20 community review if you post something to a discord group most here don't use.? Why not post it here?

Re: Renewed attempt to hack together a workable PA
Sorry...I broke the thread.
?
I've decided not to use the K9HZ amp due to its size, and to stick with the QRP-Labs 10 W board with it's much smaller heatsink requirement.? I'm looking for a fairly flat 10 W output from 80 to 10 that will easily fit into the existing uBITX case.
?
I think I'll use two stages of slightly modified W8DIZ 2N5109/2SC5551A amps to replace the Q90 and Q911/912 stages.? The attached LTspice model is my current best guess.? The total gain is about 34 dB, with an output of about 1.6-1.65 V peak, slightly above the 1.58 V peak for a 14 dBm input to the QRP-Labs amp.? There appeared to be some gain interactions when adding the second stage - it took a couple of rounds of tweaking to get the gain back in line.? The R14/15/16 pad might need to move up from 3 dB to 4.? We'll see how well hardware mimics spice.
