Nice interface. Too bad I don't use this interface. But regardless, I'll still try ;-)

Audioinjector Board on Orange Pi

Has anyone succeeded in running an audioinjector Board on an Orange Pi?

Audioinjector Board is basically a WM8731 Codec HAT made for the RPi hardware.?

I guess I¡¯ll cut my losses and part it out. I can always use another raspberry pi.?

Re: Introduction video to zBITX from Farhan

Me too anxiously waiting for Farhan to release the schematic and other details.

He's still traveling and hope that he'll do the needful, soon.?

I have drafted a provisional circuit based on the video presentation, but, let's wait for the official release of the same.

I watched a youtube video on this zbitx . Has Ashar posted any schematics or parts lists? looked like $100 to build? WOW.

Do you have any other info or is this an old link to develop the sbitx?

V3 receive noise

WildBill

I¡¯ve had nothing but problems with my radio in the maybe 3-4 hours I¡¯ve used it since new. First the tx died and I had to replace a few smt resistors to repair and now the receive has horrendous noise. When I first boot it up the noise floor is good but it becomes bad within 30 or so seconds. I tried running with a battery with identical results. ?Anyone else have this amount of noise on theirs?

so far it¡¯s been a poor investment.

I tried it out on my 64 bit build and the GUI is nice.. Some things are broken and don't work well.. I see a lot of potential for this.

Updated Web Interface

For those not on the facebook group for sBitx a user called Frank Durante has made some nice mods to the web interface for sBitx and shared them on his git repo......

An all new look and feel for the sBitx v3 web gui. I've polished the look a bit and added some new features to improve this fantastic transceiver. Check it out and tell me what you think! Some new features include: Colorized frequency to reflect class corresponding band privileges. Touch-based jumping to frequency on spectrum/waterfall. Pop-up value selection for easy. Responsive design environment. Improved FT8 interaction. and more!

Here's access to the repo: https://github.com/franklyrustech/sbitx-v3-FD.1/tree/main
You really just need to replace the /web folder. I recommend you rename the current /web folder to /web-original and then add my /web in the same area under ~/sbitx

I¡¯m also interested in getting a board if it¡¯s possible, though I wasn¡¯t at FDIM.

Hi Ashhar,

Are these boards available to buy anywhere or what is the thinking about making them to available to those who weren't at FDIM ?

Thanks!

Re: FDIM 2024 sBITX Hat info? #bitx20help

The sbitx hat is a general purpose sdr interface between an analog part of the radio and the raspberry pi. It has two things: Firstly, it has an Si5351 and Second, it has a stereo audio codec.
These can used to implement an I/Q style SDR, like the softrock SDRs or sBitx. The boards came in a few hours before I left home for the FDIM. I will provide some scaffolding code soon to get everyone started with these boards.

Re: Third-party software digital mode

Also, the order of operations is that the sBitx app must be opened first, then wait 20-30 seconds before opening the 3rd party app.

Re: Third-party software digital mode

Hi Carlo.

Here are the correct settings for both apps.

You should see power output on the sBitx app when it is opened.

Third-party software digital mode

I'm trying to use wsjt-x and js8call from latest 64 image. I followed the settings from sbitx.net website to setup the software. Both exhibit the same behaviour: ok in rx, no power output in tx. The ptt work but seem that no audio signal go out to generate modulation. I think it is a mixer settings problem (for example audio output level too low) but I don't understand how to adjust it. In alsamixer I have 4 sound card 0:audioinjector-pi-soundcard 1:Loopback 2:Loopback 3:Loopback plus default PipeWire. Each have playback and capture setting. I try to change everything without success.
Any help from the community?
Thanks
Carlo
