Honestly Jeff, Thank you for the offer, but I’m super happy with the board as is.

The position of the cable causes absolutely no issue for me.
The board sits perfectly even with the metal plate and has zero alignment conflict whatsoever.
I can see why you might want to place it on the other side as there is a bit more room, but in my case it’s a perfect setup.
I highly recommend this update to anyone that is bothered by the bent and stressed encoder board.

All I can say is all of my isssues are now gone in regards to the knobs…

I got your version of sBitx working.....I love it!
The only thing that would make it better is if it had a way of recentering the map on the web page over your QTH.

the boards look great. ?Using the washers to lift the connector above the metal shield seems to good. ?The important thing is that the board flex and strain on the encoder is gone. ?

• FreeDV consists of a codec and controller application for a USB headset that allows you to send and receive this mode on your sBitx. Provided by W2JON

sBITX Time Keeper

• sBITX Time Keeper is an app that syncs the real-time clock (RTC) module for accurate time keeping when used without a network connection such as in the field, POTA, etc. The RTC module will keep your system and sBitx application time accurate for using FT8 and other digital modes as well as ensuring your log entries are stored with the correct time. This app will also be included in the 64 bit version of sBITX Toolbox pre-installed on the image. An installation script will be included to setup your hardware to use the RTC for it's intended use.

GridTracker

• GridTracker will be installed and configured so you can use it with JTDX and WSJTX on the sBitx.

Security Updates
The latest OS patches and security updates will be applied and tested on the platform to ensure your system is secure and functional.

Jeff this board is terrific!
What's more is that the encoders seem much more robust, and smoother.
There is almost no slop in the encoder shaft and they don't miss a step no matter how fast I spin them.
The knobs feel so much less janky. I've always worried about snapping off the stem.

I'm really happy with this upgrade.

It seems to work as expected.? They are Drok regulators.? I have had good results from all the regulators Drok has made.

Didn't know that those were called Dupont headers pins and wire jumper. I just called them header pins and jumper wires.?

I think that my biggest mistake is getting low quality regulators. I would like to find some of a higher quality before getting the fixed output version.?

I can recall any version retroactively.
In the current version, this sound file is the one that causes trouble for me, so I use the previous one.

If you do it like I do, you'd have it by now. If you download a version, save it for later.?
GitHub does not store old versions retroactively.?
Rename it by adding the version number.?
I am now attaching sbitx_sound.c (3.01).?
Rename the current sbitx_sound.c by adding the name .old, then copy (3.01).?
Then you call up the terminal and cd sbitx, then ./build sbitx. ?
This will include it in the program. I hope it works for you too.?
I am using v2 hardware with 3.02 firmware and the sound file is from 3.01.
(unpack it first, then copy it in.)

I found the file on Github with the name sbitx_sound.c but see no way to tell what the version is.

Looks like that one is 4 months old but don't see an version.

Where do I get the 3.01 version of the sbitx_sound.c file?

was looking in Github but did not see it.
