Re: hdmi cable size for sbits v3

v3 uses a Pi4.? It has 2 micro hdmi ports:
Something like this will work jsut fine:
There are 2 screws holding a cover in place on the top right of your radio.? Take those out and you'll see the ports.

开云体育There is a panel on the top right, near the back, with ventilation slots.? The connectors are under this panel.? I think the right hand one (there are 2) is the correct one. Gerry Sherman Sent by the Windows 11 Thunderbird On 2024-04-30 16:19, Bob Gebeaux via

Expiring certificate on Windows version of Setting Editor - unknown publisher
The Settings Editor replaces the original KD8CEC Memory Manager. It provides an improved user interface, includes an user manual, and runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux. It will also support KD8CEC V2, a project that I continue to work on when I have time.? It is available at:
Last year when I released RC1 I purchased a Code Signing Certificate to eliminate the warning of Windows about "unknown publisher". I was just informed that this certificate has increased from $85 to over $300/year.? So obviously, I am not going to renew it (and let me be clear, this is *not* a plead for funds and please don't offer any.) So starting in about 7 days, folks that download a *Windows* version will start getting a warning of "Unknown Publisher". Just click thru the more info and accept the install and you are all set.? 73 Mark -- AJ6CU/7 KD8CEC 2.0, Nextion Screens,? and open source uBITX Raduino boards for Arduino IOT, BLE, RP2040, Teensy 4.0, and Raspberry Pi Pico https://github.com/aj6cu |
Re: Sbitx v3 /CMD not working
I use it all of the time.? I assume you are talking about direct keyboard text commands to the sBitx radio app.? If not disregard.
A typical UNIX type problem is the window needs to have focus first.? Have you tried clicking on the sBitx app and then hitting the "\" key?? That's the key to the right of the "]" key just above the "Enter" key on a US layout keyboard.? If you hit that key and the window doesn't have focus it won't work. Commands I typically use are: \low 400? ? ? ?(for SSB) \low 0? ? ? ? ? ?(for SWL)? \freq 10000? (for WWV) |
Re: sBitx Dynamic Microphone
Peter,
I haven't gotten around to trying it yet. Now I got a little nostalgic with the sstv mode. Traditionally, sBitx as a radio and a laptop with MMSSTV modification (Yoniq) and Barb WB2CBA CM108 sound card. At the time it was only receiving, the stations came nicely :-) I remembered my first sstv converter (G3WCY) in 1985 in 6 weeks I made the 8 second converter made with 43 ttl ic. It was a great success that it started the first time, even though I drew the double-sided pcb myself on tracing paper, and then made the panel with Positiv20. Two years later, the addition of the G4ENA broadcast also worked well. It was a long time ago, it was nice. -- Gyula HA3HZ |
Telescopic mast 10 meters high. At the top is the 2:1 and another 1:1 balun. This is where it connects to the RG8X coax. The baluns are on ft240-43 core. There is a French seller on eBay who makes these. This is not from him, I made this myself, but I bought one from him. It works nicely.

Re: Dayton question
Yes, we hope to have enough for that. HF Signals is running a little out of breath right now but it is hoped that we will be able to sell them at FDIM as well as Dayton. The stall will be in the Marconi Hall, pretty close to MFJ. Re: sBitx Dynamic Microphone
Hi Gyula, Did you ever get the BM800 working with your sBitx ? Thanks! Peter EI3JCB. On Sat, 18 Nov 2023 at 12:26, HA3HZ <gyula@...> wrote: Peter, |
Re: RTC on enhanced Nextion display?
Mark,
You may or may not remember, but I revamped the Nextion uBITX screen layout for my 3.2" Enhanced to include display/setting of a RTC. I sent you the screen definition (which includes the necessary coding) and you included them among the user-supplied screens in your github. Hope this helps, Richard Lambert-Porter |
Gyula,
My aBitx is an V.2? upgraded to V.3. This reduces the output power but with cleaner output and its more resilient to bad SWR. I have also mounted a temperature controlled fan to the heatsink on the back. I use long wire antennas 5-6 meters above ground with a 9:1 unun. The one I currently use is approx 20.6 meters long.? ?My output power varies a lot depending on frequency and SWR. I do not have an antenna tuner - the sBitx v.3 can handle bad SWR to some extent.? Here is a list of my FT8 conditions on the different bands (values from the readout on my sBitx): Band / SWR / Watts: 80/1.1/20, 40/1.8/36,? 30/2.8/15,? 20/1.4/18,? 17/2.3/16,? 15/1.8/8 and 10/1.5/10. I have managed to get contacts on all bands - to my own surprise. I think that the power readings are the sum of transmitted and reflected power. Maybe I should try the delta loop antenna you use.? Can you give links to relevant websites. I also have had many DX FT8 QSO's with my sBitx? - it's quite fun. -- Lars |
