Reed, can you check the mic gain? There is as manual with the box.

also is there a tutorial on how to navigate thru the screen?

Re: #sbitx disk image for software v2.1 #sBitx

Success with a 64GB card. I can assert that the software definitely loads on a Pi 3B+.??

At the moment I only have the Pi and display and no other hardware. The radio interface doesn't come up, but I didn't actually expect it to.? I'm going to investigate modding my uBitx.? Ore may break down and buy the board only.

I have been checking for updates and doing the update build the recommended way from the original SD card I have (./update from inside sbitx folder).

Congrats Salim.?

Do you have latest software build v2.1 from 11th May?

Re: #sbitx disk image for software v2.1 #sBitx

Farhan,

So what is the power calibration procedure on a DE sBitx using this image file? There is no SWR bridge in mine or internal power meter, so whats the best way to calibrate.

#sbitx v2 #7 positive experiences so far #sbitx_v2 #sBitx

I have been having a ton of QSOs on FT8 (and some on CW) !

#7 sBitx gives around 42W on 40m (after txcal) without any problems. Plenty of QSOs on all the bands from 80m and up (screenshot).

Re: Death by calibration #sBitx

Bob,
1. If you have a dummy load, attach it to the radio,?
2. On sbitx, scroll down to open the console, in the console command line, type "txcal", wait for it to cycle through it for? a minute or so
3. the rig should now be on full power.
Remember, this works only on a dummy load.

Re: Spurious RF at beginning of CW transmission in the uBitx

I installed a 2N7000 as you suggested.
It has definitely got rid of the spurious RF on CW but I noticed that there is now some spurious RF at the beginning of transmission when on SSB.
Not as bad as it was on CW, but it is there on SSB.
I have left it installed as I think it is the lesser of two evils.
Thanks for the help.
Cheers

Lou,
check with the dealers as they may have just received another RPi shipment.
