Re: Homebrew satellite control system that can run on sBitx
I'm just a sucker for trying to use the least expensive gear....so even though the sBitx / transverter system just couldn't create enough sensitivity.... I ordered a GaAs FET preamp with up to 20dB gain in hopes of making the sBitx work on this project!

Here is the schematic of the board I made for controlling azimuth +/- elevator rotators:

Re: zbitx - No Tx on WSJTX?
Same issue here. I am looking for the settings I used on my Sbitx, to see if that?helps. As you indicated ft8 rx is working TX or any cat commands don't work Joe VE1BWV? On Fri, Apr 4, 2025, 9:00?a.m. Chris Bolton via <boltonbicycles=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: New Member
Gary,
Hope dies last because you've read a lot about it but haven't seen it in action.
This device is an RPi-controlled SDR radio, packed as small as possible, with its advantages and disadvantages.
Not all options installed on the board work, and several applications work differently than you've seen so far. --

开云体育I’ve had the same question for some time. For reasons, local access to the Pi, at least initially, is going to be difficult to impossible for me otherwise.-- Buddy Brannan, KB5ELV, WRVB670?-?Erie, PA Email: buddy@... Mobile: (814) 431-0962

Re: Unable to Update Pi Zero
I copied the zbitx Image today because I was curious about a problem. I have sbitx v2, the hardware is different, and the program logged in fine after starting it.
If you changed the password in the RPi menu-> Preferences -> Raspberry Pi Configuration settings, use that. It does not ask for a password to enter the terminal. I do not see a link in the manual to ask for a password. --

开云体育Just joined the group.? I ordered
my zBitx on Friday....on the 4 week waiting list.? Looking
forward to playing with this radio.? I belong to a group in
Chandler, AZ called "BE-HIP" (Hams In Parks).? We take our
portable radios out to local parks and setup our stations.? This
radio is perfect for that.? I am not the big of an FT8 fan, but
with it built into the rig, it makes it much easier than
dragging my laptop and support cables out to the park.?
Currently I am on the upper end of the price spectrum with a

Spectrum display window bug
#zbitx
I don't know if anyone has noticed, but the spectrum display frequency window is not centered on the frequency, the water fall is perfectly aligned but not the spectrum. I hope I explained this correctly, I'm sure someone will tell me if I didn't.

Re: Unable to Update Pi Zero
Hello Gyula,
???? I am following the procedure on page 22.? When I hook up HDMI monitor, keyboard, and mouse...then power up the zBitx, here is a pic of the screen I see.? No password, even the default password, works.? I cannot get past this screen.? Note that the zBitx is still waiting to load, so perhaps that may be why I cannot get to the terminal to do any updating.

Re: Carrier line
It is a "birdie"?? All receivers (well, most anyway) have them. You can try more internal shielding on the radio (there was a great thread on that before, suggesting that shielding the display cable was the frist step) to try and reduce it.? ? It is unlikely?to be a single component? ?It is a real signal.? ?Just one that isn't coming in from the outside. Good luck! Re: Carrier line
Yesterday the rig was on all day and that line was there but not always irritating. Well, today I started up and no line or noise. About 10 minutes into the session the line and the noise returned and now very annoying. Sounds like a component is heating up and is out of tolerence.
?
Any ideas?
