I didn't actually make it run time configurable. Only compile time. Perhaps I should add a configurable setting for it... Definitely something I'll consider.

I loaded the hex file (thanks for providing it). Some comments
1) Very Nice!!
2) I like the setup routine, freq adjust resolution, and BFO save not exiting the program makes tuning much easier.
3) screen refresh is immediate
4) the tune momentum is a great improvement and the fast tune is excellent
5) it took me a minute to adjust to the change in screen resolution, once I got used to it it is a cleaner display
6) my only (slightly) negative comment was the visible screen refresh when tuning or fast tuning. I assume this is a side effect of the the fast screen refresh.
all in all very nice upgrade Thanks

I have it uploaded and will be testing today. So far it seems to be working great, not to much acceleration but enough to get you across the band. I will report any anomalys.

At one time I had written a short article for Doug Henrick's QRPp magazine for what I called "Fast Tune" that worked in the same manner using a timing interrupt. You're right, the rate is very subjective and I used a symbolic constant the user could set for their particular preferences. That said, I got a lot of people telling me they tried it, but couldn't get used to it, so they removed my code. The good thing you did, which I didn't, was to make it settable at runtime. That might make all the difference, especially if the rig is "shared" (e.g., multi-op at Field Day).

Mine has definitely been modified because it¡¯s supposed to only connect the mic not the speaker. UBitX is a 3 pin mic connector, but the BaoFengs by default are 4 pin, adding a pin for the speaker.?
But I would expect the modifications to be made at the 3.5mm end, not inside the hand mic. If that was the intention, then they cut the wrong wire on mine.

Re: Audio amp to AGC board
You should take it from the high side of the volume control, not the connector on the audio amp board. The signal on the audio amp is affected by the volume setting.?

When I did an Antenna Analyzer build for our builder's group, I ordered 30 2.8" TFT displays, of which 11 arrived cracked. I wrote to the seller and, while unhappy, they replaced them. (They were in China.) Oddly, the displays still worked. They were not touch screen, so that might make a big difference, but for just display stuff, they all worked. In most of them, the crack was barely noticeable once they were "lit".
I find it odd that they came in a gray poly bag rather than a cardboard container. Now I'm starting to think that, when it gets opened for inspection by Customs, they take a look at whatever it is and then just toss it in a bag and send it along its way. I could be totally wrong, but the vendor said they were packed in a box.
Anyway, don't throw the display away, as you might still be able to "experiment" with it.

I read a number of specs for similar looking panels and some said 3.3v, and some said 5v tolerant, so it might be that you got a 3.3v only?
What specific code did you try and run?

I know this is a super old thread, but does anyone know anything about fixing the split mode with KD8CEC firmware? Or am I not understanding something. When using Rig split mode in WSJT-X, VFO a becomes the same as VFO B after transmit.
