Re: uBitx V4 Audio extremely quiet and other needed mods#ubitx
The mention of not plugging or unplugging the headphone/speaker with the radio on reminded me of an incident years ago. I did radio repairs in my brothrs TV hop yers ago. Had a customer brought in a

I agree with Vic that the standard selection should be the CW offset option. I can not see why anyone would not use CW this way. But I am open to be convinced. rOn

Re: TX vs received frequency tweak help... #calibration #ubitx-help
This is a post I made last year: Found this video explaining CW Zero-beating. So based on this explanation the following is illustrated for 7.040.000: Dial displays 07.040.000, you transmit on

Re: TX vs received frequency tweak help... #calibration #ubitx-help
If you use the CW offset option (which really should be the standard setup) mentioned above, then both you and the station you are working will be on the same indicated frequency. Offsetting the

It will be + or - depending on the bands, try on 14.050 and check with the websdr the exact frequency. About the logging mismatch, consider who uses vintage equipment without digital readout. I

I should add that I have not calibrated the V5 at all and that is using stock firmware, not Ian's beta v5. I was focusing only on the spurs and so far from an FCC point of view at first looks it looks

What to do with ubitx ver<5 boards? V-U operation?
Some seem to replace the older ubitx boards with ver 5. I too am thinking about that. But then what to do with the older boards? One idea that comes to mind is to use the ubitx up to the PA and drive

I beg to differ! Sir, if the carrier is only down by 20dB then its not a question of looking at regulations! It is a strong indication of 'something being rotten in the state of Denmark' Translated
