Re: uBITX on CW
I am 100% cw and have been using my version 3 ubitx and use G3cwi outboard dual band filter with good effect,Ihave added a 5k1 resistor on the keying line and now the cw keying works as it should do I

Re: Harmonics measured by Warren. How bad?
Has anyone tried reducing the Tx only drive levels at the 45MHz and 12MHz filters by using the "PIN diode effect" of a 1N4007 at the locations of the 10 ohm resistors, R23 and R43 ? .... to reduce the

Re: Let out the magic smoke...
The amplifier as is does not tolerate high SWR at power well. With high power and high SWR the Mosfets get drain to gate punch through. Easy way to lower power, turn the power supply down as it will

Re: Let out the magic smoke...
That's a good suggestion, Adrian. I DO have a fuse in it. But perhaps not where you believe I should have one. I have one in the main power line. Where else do I need one? I fully expect the finals

Interesting...I researched the Industry Canada documents this morning, and could not find any actual numbers for harmonics and spurious as applied to amateur radio. BASIC license holders are not

Re: Keyer
What is the issue you're having? I'm guessing it's not working. From your description it seems like you have it wired up in the right way. First, I would verify the paddle is mechanically functioning

Re: 4000 mile phone qso on 20m
These days what changes is the number of qsos you can do with a qrp and an ordinary 100watts trx. With a better propagation this 'spread' would be much reduced.
