Re: Should we adopt the KD8CEC firmware?
This is only loosely related to the question regarding what should be the standard uBITX Arduino software system, but it might be interesting to some.

If there's a local makerspace handy, I suggest you lug a laptop and a Raduino (or Nano) in and ask if somebody can help you load some firmware.? Or a local ham club meeting.? Arduino's are very

Re: Digital communications with a USB sound card - dumb mistake

For sound interfacing, I decided the best route was to keep as much inside the box as possible.? The mic and speaker jacks are wired so that if nothing is plugged in, they default to the Easy-Digi

What is the serial number of the uBitx? You may have one with the bad audio chip. If so, it has WX on it. Vince. -- Michigan VHF Corp. http://www.nobucks.net/ http://www.CDupe.com/

You gentlemen seem to have such a great time discussing all of these changes and what should/could be a standard load from the start. I have been studying my Arduino starter kit and one of Jacks books

I can't speak for on air. I just put an SSM2167 red board and a "2V-9V MAX9812 with Mic element" on the myDAQ oscilloscope. Fed them 5V from a 4 AA holder. Max9812 had 40mV of noise on the scope
