Are you using a linear power supply or a switching supply I tried a computer power supply on my bitx40 and had a much more noise than with the linear supply or batteries.

Great build. A tip on your vol knob, just elongated the hole in the direction you want to move to knob, you can go a fair bit as the knob it self will hide the extra hole so to speak...
