Re: top band ubitx
Turned the output down to about 8 Watts and have made 4 contacts on 160 with great reports. Will add a larger heat sink to be safe.

Re: pointer needed raduino
No need to add a library for si5351 support when using Allard's Bitx40 code
that is version 1.20 and beyond (including all of the 2.* releases, and Farhan's uBitx code)
The si5351 support is compiled

Re: top band ubitx
I don¡¯t have a spectrum analyzer but I think your right. Without the LPF installed I¡¯m seeing over 20 Watts out on 160m and with it I see 12watts out so a lot of signal outside of the 160m band is

Bill:
I think what you are seeing is the "normal" variation in the
output of the MOSFETS. Some are better than others at RF.

Re: top band ubitx
Right I could do that and use it just on 160m. So as is I¡¯m seeing about 2 amps on 80m and it goes down as I switch to the higher bands. So going lower from 80m to 160m I jump over an amp to

Re: pointer needed raduino
Did you read the documentation for 1.27.7? Allard does a great job
documenting exactly what you need and how to get it.
You need to add that library into the IDE.

Re: top band ubitx
Doing some testing with my uBitx on 160m with a 160m LPF attached to the output. I¡¯m seeing about 15 Watts out but the current draw is running very high at just over 3 amps. So not usable on 160m at

Re: pointer needed raduino
Use a new Raduino version that has SI5351 routines built in?? I was written to help those problems.
I uses a lot less memory and avoids all the problems with libraries.
You probably want all the
