Re: Help! I think I may have just ruined my 9 year old's Chanukah
Did we verify that the 12mhz signal is working, did we hear this? If this crystal isn¡¯t working we can generate any signal into the BITX40 but we will have no luck receiving anything as there will

Re: Help! I think I may have just ruined my 9 year old's Chanukah
C6 is indeed supplying the dds signal to the bitx40. Clk1 is unused and not doing anything in this radio. uBitx probably will use this. You still have L4 on your board where the bitx40 is connected to

Tausciam, Would you be able to inspect the bottom of where the DDS enters the BITX? So we are sure there is not shorting there? Or maybe just make some picture of the top where you connected the

Re: Help! I think I may have just ruined my 9 year old's Chanukah
The board is raised up with the standoffs. Nothing can touch it. As far as being connected backwards, there are two grooves on the edges of the connectors. They fit on rails on the board. So

Found your picture of the DDS module. CLK0 ping and C6 going out to the BITX board. Can¡¯t see it very clearly but C6 might have bad soldering¡. Can any of you inspect same picture and see if I am

Re: Help! I think I may have just ruined my 9 year old's Chanukah
Yeah, I did catch that. The "disconnected" part I was talking about is not the display, but the wiring to the BitX board, buttons, etc. Mainly the connection to the DDS port on the board. If it is,
