Re: sBitx Issue After Upgrade #sBitx
Hi Ashhar, I think I get it. ?Because the DE unit uses relays and the V2 uses diode switching to manage operational functions, slight differences in the switching code is required by

Re: sbitx delivery ?
Richard and Dave, There is no particular day that we ship the orders. We only ship orders once the calibration and testing is done. This often happens in batches as we cannot hurry the procedure and

Re: sbitx delivery ?
If I remember correctly, I thought someone said that shipping only happens on one day per week.? Not sure which day (I thought it was Monday), but I could be entirely wrong about all of that so

Re: IRFZ24N #sBitx
That makes a lot of sense.? So the TX calibration is required if it is necessary to change the finals, correct? Does that hold up over a normal temperature range?? I don't mean a full commercial

sbitx delivery ?
Hi Are these sent in batches, mine has said " Current status : Packed, ready to go" for a couple of days now ?. Richard G7OED

Re: IRFZ24N #sBitx
Dave, This is the reason why we have this painful tx calibration routine to level the output. The device variations are prettt wide.

Re: No talk power out #bitx20 #sbitx_v2
I tried my Elecraft mic which I know works, with the same result.

Re: IRFZ24N #sBitx
Yes, they do apply in analog use.? They aren't directly applicable, but they represent the ability of the device to change voltage level.? A slow switch is going to have a low Ft.? The IRF510 is

Re: No talk power out #bitx20 #sbitx_v2
Can you try the 2 tone mode and check the power output? Is it possible that there is a problem with the mic? The low level RF indicates that there is marginal output from the digital parts. I would

No talk power out #bitx20 #sbitx_v2
I Just upgraded the software to the latest on github. ?Then I Tried transmitting into a 10 watt dummy load and measuring power out on a qrp meter with various modes on 20m. With the drive set at 39 I

Re: uBITX V6 Stuck on band
Hi Aaron, From what you are describing, I would guess that the Nano on the Raduino has stopped communicating with the display.? I would check the wiring to verify that nothing has come loose.? You

Re: IRFZ24N #sBitx
Dave, Ton and Toff do not apply in analog use.? Those are saturated switch numbers. Unlike bipolar MOSFETs do not exhibit FT (Frequency where gain goes to 1).. They sorta do but the mechanism is

Thanks for the invite guys. My sBitx v2 came on Wednesday, and superb at the moment. Just a problem with Morse decoding, it worked great at first, now I can't seem to see any at all??? [image: Error

Re: IRFZ24N #sBitx
When I look at the data sheet for the IRFZ24, the typical Ton/Toff delay times add up to about 40 nsec, which I think translates roughly to about 25 MHz.? That seems to me to be a bit marginal.? I

Re: IRFZ24N #sBitx
The IRFZ24 transistors are spares for the final output stage, just in case you damage them. Unless something goes wrong you won't need them. wrote:
