Re: uBITX Firmware (CEC) 0.30 released (Test version). #ubitx
Bill Thanks for using this firmware. At first I wanted to make uBITX a real radio, so I started to put only the most basic functions. As I worked on it, I got a lot more fun with the opinions of the

Re: uBITX Firmware (CEC) 0.30 released (Test version). #ubitx
Philip I am going to put uBITX into the case finally this week.Until now it was open for testing. I will cut off the power line of USB like you. And to fix the Arduino Nano reset problem, i will also

Re: uBITX Firmware (CEC) 0.30 released (Test version). #ubitx
Matjaz Thanks for interresting. I saw the schematic you attached. It seems to have only an encoder and a function key. I do not test it, but I guess. so My guess might be wrong. My guess is that

Re: #ubitx-help Strong Audio Tones in and outside audio receive passband #ubitx-help
I know I'm late to this party but you cannot swap crystals on nano board without first using a atmel programmer to burn the fuse bits that tell what freq it will be using or you will brick your

Re: uBITX woes, feeling disheartened. #ubitx
I have no idea what your sets of pins are.? Read this post to understand the relay pin numbering,? and how the rail labeled "TX" gets connected to 12v when you press the PTT switch to transmit.? ?

Okay, so I am not going bonkers over the changes in amperage. Something else that I noticed, psk31 on 40m pulls 1.5 amps, but feld-hell pulls only 0.8 amps...any idea why? -- ---------- N5WLF,

Re: #ubitx Current draw when transmitting? #ubitx
It's in the right range. The draw and output depend heavily on frequency. You can see the draw I measured key down into a dummy load at different frequencies in this post

Re: BitX40 v1.27.7 SPOT mode
Ah, that explains! In your case you'd need to round to the nearest 10 Hz. at line 481: ultoa((frequency + 50), b, DEC); // construct the frequency string change to: ultoa((frequency + 5), b, DEC);

Re: #ubitx-help Strong Audio Tones in and outside audio receive passband #ubitx-help
USB requirements are rather stringent. Unless the 12 MHz crystal has changed radically in frequency, it should be pretty much left alone. (If it has changed or if it interferes, the best solution is

Thanks, Allard. I'm thinking perhaps to eliminate the +50 in my version since I am displaying an extra digit in normal mode. Do you know where (what line) that rounding takes place? 73,
