Pelican cases
If anyone's interested in putting their BitX in a Pelican case, Harbor Freight is now selling Pelican clones and has the one that's supposed to be the same as the Pelican 1120 for $9.99 with coupon.

Re: Apology in advance if dumb question - How do I know my order has been captured?
Mine came via DHL though I did not order carrier service. I just assumed that Ashar and the Elves were adding a bit of Seasons Spirit for the early batch to get here ahead of Christmas. At any rate,

Re: uBITX working, question about power, PTT pop, LOUD headphone output #ubitx
Going into transmit, C 63 should pass a big transient through C 50 into Q 70 base which still has power because nothing quickly discharges C52, and U1 always has power. Sent from my iPhone

Re: uBITX working, question about power, PTT pop, LOUD headphone output #ubitx
I found the same thing with a straight key, decent performance with a paddle. Yes, the pops going into transmit are a bit annoying. Perhaps a simple transistor switch to break the audio connection

Re: Help with troubleshooting Bitx40 - no transmit. #bitx40help
I realize that one of my statements wasn¡¯t that clear. The mic element is fine (but varies by manufacturer), but the speakers do not have good audio! There is no need to replace the mic element.
