At some point,we
probably will need to focus in on that flash, bang and burnt
smell you reported? when first taking your voltage
measurements around the mosfet but the immediate task is to
confirm that the Raduino is working, independent from the
radio board.
After that is
established, our attention should go back to getting the
receiver working and then, finally, our attention can switch
to the transmitter. It's a well trodden fault finding path and
one that once accomplished, will set you up well for your
future in the hobby..

I'll do the sketch when I get off work. I do realize there may be
bad things on the board....and I will run through the video, but
tonight I will focus on the one bad thing we've already found.
I'll run the sketch and also examine the raduino. Just like with
that chip, if I see something that doesn't look quite right to me,
I'll upload pictures.
Well, for that matter...you guys can expect a picture of the sis
chip this evening Ha. We've already established I'm just learning
here and more experienced eyes may spot something I don't .
Thanks guys. I really appreciate this. It is turning into an
interesting endeavor
