Thanks for the suggestions.? I have done the check with the ohm meter, so about 90% sure I've got the right trace.? Was hoping to hear from someone out there who had done it this way on the V6.?
My filter is an ebay op amp audio filter centered on 700 hz.

John,
I used an opamp based 700 Hz filter on one of the v6 radios I modified.? To avoid cutting the trace, I moved the filter to before the LM386 audio amp.? That way, I could add a switch to run SSB without the filter.? That worked for both the headphones and the speaker.? The result was to tap into the Audio Header for the VOL-M input to the filter and send the filter output to the isolated pin 3 of the LM386.? I used a 2 position switch to select either the normal input or the output of the filter.?

As long as you only want the headphones for the filtered CW signal, then your approach is better.? If you wish to also use the headphones with SSB, or you want CW on the speaker, the switching gets complex if you move it to the headphone line.

Note that the "Audio" header is still included in the v6 radios.? This is a convenient place to tap in for audio signals.
