I'll interrupt here and add this....
Before we can attack CW keying or many other software related issues
the ability to TX and RX without failures is critical as its a hard stop
on software work to fix blown finals or power issues.
I cannot work on software with a dead platform.
So on my priority list:
** Solve transmitter and receive blow up issues.
*? insure the power to the Rpi digital subsystem is adequate
*? Then deal with software.? There are things to try plus work
already done by others.
Its important to note the Rpi4 is a 64bit quad core ARM with close coupled
fast memory? SOC running at 1.4ghz (some say 1.5, 1.8 can be done).
So there is enough speed to do all the things needed and then some
if the code i carefully crafted and integrated.? ?That includes the layered
application code FLdigi and WJSt-X.? I believe it is FLdigi that does the
CW thing (decode and keying).??
So far the digital system is not been an issue (yet) for me.
