Recently low activity on 18 MHz, most of the time nothing to hear
because of bad propagation (or bad antenna?):-(
Most (far) stations I worked are from Bulgarien, roughly 2000 km?
however, with the IRF amp running about 6 watt in a sloping dipole,
feedpoint about 6 meters above ground.

I wonder what the distance per watt record might be for a BITX
design? Is
your 500 Km per watt the best accomplishment thus far? It might
be
interesting to hear from others regarding their DX accomplishments
with BITX,
and if there have been any BITX-to-BITX DX contacts yet?
