Any dipole antenna should work fine. I have a 40M, 20M, 10M, 6M fan dipole antenna in my attic.? Mounted as an inverted V.? ?I had to fold the ends of the 40M wires.? That one looks more like a Z. I have made multiple SSB contacts in South America, Europe, Africa and Australia with my uBITX and this antenna. Keep the antenna wires as far as possible from electrical wiring and metal objects.? Cross electrical wiring at right-angles whenever possible. Straight is usually better.? Being inclined 30 degrees will probably make the dipole more omni-directional. Before transmitting:? Use an antenna analizer or SWR Meter to trim each dipole to length AFTER they are installed.? Trim longest wires first.? Recheck after trimming the shortest. All nearby objects affect resonance.? Rain on my roof raises my transmit SWR. 73 Bob WB8BEL From: "kabupos" <kabupos@...> To: "BITX20" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, March 22, 2022 5:17:28 AM Subject: Re: [BITX20] Building an antenna Hello, Thank you for your answers
The descent cable will be a 50ohm cable.
I will take inspiration from these achievements.
The attics in the 1st video are 99% like mine. So I¡¯m going to take inspiration from it. I wonder if it would be wiser to attach the wire tubing to the wooden fasteners, it will make an antenna inclined to 30 degrees and more straight, it should not change much at reception (?)? All i have to do is get started. Lol
