Here i use a small 2 element beam on 20,15,10m and verticals on the other bands, plus I sometimes use an end fed halfwave (EFHW) .? a dipole or EFHW certainty is a good antenna, if space is short bend the ends. My ubitx can qso 5000 km on ssb, conditions do change. Once I gave my call sign twice, and a op in Europe chastised me since he heard me easily the first time, and we doubled.?
Erect whatever antenna will fit, a 20m dipole with bent ends can make qsos. A qrp EFHW for 20 or 40 meters can be home constructed, info on line. You might need help finding a source to make the ferrite balun in your country or region.?
