Besides the uBitX and the BitX40 that I use routinely and are finished and mounted in cases, I have an old "parts" BitX 40 and a never-installed Raduino so I was building a rig for a friend to be mounted in an old Reese's candy box that he had. The parts rig main board was repaired (I had "borrowed" a few components a while back), loaded with Amunter's BitX40 software, and calibrated and tested with jumper leads on the bench. All looked well. Today I thought I would make a quick mod to include his callsign on the 2-line display, but the Raduino wouldn't power up and the 5v regulator was quite hot. I pulled power and thinking that regulator might be bad, I pulled it from the board and tried powering up with just the Raduino plugged in to a USB port. The Arduino power light comes on, but there is only about 2.1v on the 5v line with no display plugged in, so I think that Arduino board must be bad. Removing the Arduino, which is soldered on the Raduino board, looks to be an arduous task so I am just checking to see if anyone has an old style (pre V6 uBitX) Raduino lying around with no display?
