I did the tone tests on my ?BITX using an Elecraft 2T-gen with interesting results.? The max power output is now on 40meters, with 80 and 30 being just a little reduced.? This does point to the mixer as the pattern is the same for the v4 and v5 that I have.

I like your idea of reducing R104.? That may be my next step.

The good news is that there is not an issue with SSB, and that is the main focus of this rig.? 4 to 5 watts CW is QRP, so would still be good for portable use on CW.
