John,
Can you confirm that the Nano has been replaced and either the original HFSignals (Ashhar Farhan) code is installed or Reed N,s code is installed?? The link to Reed's code was given by him in a prior email.? The link to the original v6 code is here:
And a video on how to upgrade the uBITX code by Ashhar Farhan here:
If you are still having issues after you load the software in the new Nano, then I suspect the screen got toasted somehow in the failure that has taken out multiple components.? My bet is still on the Nano, as it provides the 3.3 volts to the Si5351.
I have ordered but not yet received a v6.? If you are still having issues after I receive it, I will upload screenshots of the scope traces for the screen control lines.? Since that was just this week, it may be a while until I get it.
The two lines that are at 5 volts are most likely active low timing signals.? In particular the CS_TFT signal.? From what I have seen on other displays, and as Jerry has described, these are short pules that are most likely not a constant periodic signal, rather a randomly spaced pulse.? Make sure your scope is set up to trigger on an edge and set to not auto-trigger.? The fact that you get a trace indicates that you are getting the active low, but at a very short pulse with relatively long time periods between.? I had issues capturing this type of signal until I used the trigger for the verification.? You might need to play with the trigger level and horizontal time to capture the signal.
As long as you keep trying and providing us with status members in the group will try to help.? So far the feedback on how you are doing is good and helps us help you.? You will get it eventually, I am sure.
