Moderated Re: FCC sticks it to amateurs - WARNING USA POLITICS

I have written about this subject on this forum and it would be redundant to repeat. The bottom line is: those who support the new fee should celebrate the opportunity?to part with their money for a "service" that they may or may not receive.

All others, instead of relying on the ARRL to lobby Congress, take some time and flood your Congress Rep and Senators offices?with your proposal to exempt Ham Radio Service (it is officially a National Service) from any fees. It was nice to be informed about the change on this forum; however, the way to change the facts is to act as your own representative and actively push your point to Congress, rather?than hack the subject to death here. Democracy dies in silence!

It's all a matter of money. Ham radio doesn't have the money to fund a bunch of high priced lobbyists to grease the skids like, for example, the NRA has. Money talks. It's the Golden Rule...the guy with gold makes the rules. And ham radio just doesn't have the gold.

HNY, everyone.
