I was wondering if anyone (Rene?) has double-checked the wiring on these Baofeng microphones.? I think these are speaker/mics and the plugs are changed at the factory.? So I was wondering if perhaps some were wired incorrectly and the electret element is not connected correctly.? It is possible that the speaker is being hooked up instead of the microphone?? A check would be just to trace the wiring and make sure goes only to the electret element and PTT switch, and the speaker is fully disconnected.
