My personal code goals have been targeted solely at stock v6 improvements. I only have a v6, so unless somebody sends me a v4, it would be hard for me to debug code changes from just schematics. I'm also not sure there's much in my current code that isn't already available in the CEC + nextion setup, which I believe works on v4 already.
If there are specific features or changes I've mentioned about my v6 branches that aren't present in CEC + nextion you'd like to see in v4, make a new thread and let me (and any other devs) know what they are. If they're simple enough, I might be able to take a blind stab at it, but let's not continue that discussion in this thread on v6 CW issues.
