By re adjusting tx bias, one could use upto 20v for highwr Tx power( beware the need for improved heatsinking), the remaining circuitry can be made to work on 12v by a suitable regulator. One could use L78S12, a 2 amp device at reasonable cost. I am trting to use this device, and i feed the Vpwr power pin at 20v .
