But I am not aware that IMD per se may be illegal unless this causes splattering beyond limits. And I am not convinced that using a ham transceiver, maybe except for the latest Icoms, may be enough to have good IMD TX audio. Listening to HF sometimes you hear really distorted modulations and I don't think they all are produced by uBitxs. Having said this about a cleaner TX audio from the uBitx is always welcome.

Broad terms many modes do not tolerate extreme distortion. Others are designed
to tolerate it or work despite? distortion.
