Re: Simple spur fix

Warren,

With a fairly easy fix to the LPF's, the uBitx is clean enough as a QRP rig for 80/40/20m.
Raj's approach with the extra filter holds promise for knocking down many of the remaining issues.

I'll agree with Gordon here.
You hang around in the forum but repeatedly tell us it's a waste of your time.
That discourages others who might choose to actually solve problems and find a path to a better v5.

Might be time for you to move on.

Thank you Gordon for the critique of the social skills and for the compliment on technical skills.

I want to ask you to carefully review what you see as my raining on the parade of the uBitx. I have consistently complimented the innovation and the energy of this group. I have also consistently stated that, as a platform for experimentation, it is an excellent product for those who have the patience, time, equipment, and knowledge to work on it. My "raining on the parade" is presented as information to those who buy the uBitx and are missing one or more of those critical elements. Far too many people are on the air with a non-compliant radio without knowing that. Those who know it and choose to go on the air anyway have made a choice. Those who don't know it and simply think it is an inexpensive avenue for air work need to know. In the instant case I have been asked to make tests for my own enjoyment and I have demurred and wanted to explain why.

By the way, I see no such criticism of Allison who, at every turn, has echoed my sentiments on the air-worthiness of the uBitx and the prospects for fixing it. Like her, I have consistently said that all problems can be resolved but that I do not have the motivation to do that. I have criticized no one personally and have backed up every technical statement I have made with hard data and facts.?

Again, this is not a matter of calling someone's baby ugly just to be mean spirited. I am truly appalled that this board encourages people to put this one the air.

Thank you for listening.
