A rubbish transformer is one that does not work.
I bought the myantennas.com EFHW8010 as described in the March 2016 QST review.
Works fine, antenna runs on 5 bands without a tuner at well under 1.5:1 SWR,?
and manages to radiate pretty much all the available power.
Cost was less than the price most would spend on a tuner.

are attempting to duplicate this, but it's not easy.
I believe Warren tried building from instructions given on the facebook page
and found his unit did not work.
