Hi all: I remembered that the pop fix split TX/RX power so I moved the lead from R52 to the pop fix board RX pad. This eliminated the loud and clear audio on transmit leaving only a much lower muffled response that can probably be addressed with ferrite beads on the volume control to AGC twisted pair.
