adjust resistor if needed for not more than 30mA emitter current.
DId you parallel the emitter resistors too?
FYI it should work as IS but my 5109s wanted to sit there at 70ma and get very warm
That is way to high even 20mA (each) is more than enough.
That problem appeared even with the? original 2n3904s in the predriver and driver
they were very high current and quite hot.
