There are 2 possible solutions...
#1 Transmit a signal -- Such as the "beeper" The FOX TANGO CLub (FT101) had back in the 1970's it was a small tone board that they sold installed in the base of a Shure 444 desk mike. Through a toggle switch it injected audio allowing the tuning at a 50% or less duty cycle so the finals were kept safe. I think it was nothing more than a 555 IC chip- memory what it is at 638 DOG years..

#2 Receiver noise bridge- THE POLITE ANTENNA TUNER--- From our very own ND6T.? What it does is matches the antenna tuner against receiver noise. Now rather than explain it, please follow this link:
