Yes think so too, just hooked the antenna and a speaker up and I hear FT8 coming in on 20m so the uBitX itself is working.
Unfortunate I already had a blue backlight ordered but didn't pay attention,? it has 14 pins on the left side and 2 on the right.
So I am debating to either buy it locally in the US or be patient and order it in China
