I too am having trouble, mostly with the Nextion library usage.
I Googled "nextion display examples without nextion library" and am doing pretty good with just the basic commands in an Arduino program.?
Just simple commands to a serial port.
Going to walk before I run. ?
Lots of YouTubes to help too.
