Re: Small 3-5A brick power supply recommendation?

I use an old heavy metal Pyramid PS-3 Power supply. It is rated at 13.8Vdc 3A constant 5A? intermittent.? BUT, the important thing is that the voltage
is screwdriver adjustable. Having read much about the ubitx audio amp problems during the months while I waited for mine to arrive, I was concerned about
using 13.8V, and I adjusted the output to 12.5 Vdc. I have had no problems with this.

Beware of "12 volt" supplies. Many amateur radio products are expected to be used in vehicles, where the typical voltage is 13.6V when the engine is running,
and for full power most hams are happy with 13.6Vdc from their home "12V" power supplies.? And simple wall-wart supplies are very poorly regulated. A typical?
"12v 1A" wall wart supply will provide 16 to 18 volts with no load or a small load.
