I want to get on 80M for a local net and don't have the room for a half wave. I found this antenna -- a non-resonate end fed -- that can work with a 71ft wire. Bought the 9:1 transformer kit as I don't need the power handling of the assembled antenna matching transformer. Time will tell if this works out to be a good antenna.
This antenna may still require an antenna matching unit at the transmitter, as it was designed with the assumption that many transceivers have a matching unit built in.?
