Re: Open letter to the uBITX community from Jim Sheldon, W0EB. #ubitx

Skunk oil is rendered skunk fat. It had many uses such as a liniment and a skin protectant. There really isn't much use for it nowadays as it's considered a folk remedy and very little proof has been gathered as to its medicinal properties. When rendered properly, skunk oil is about the thickness of motor oil. Why do I know this? Because my great-grandparents talked about it one day and satisfied my curious questions. They passed away in the early 90s at the ripe old age of 90 and change. They were together at the turn of the century in an arranged marriage and renewed their wedding vows at 70 years in the seventies.

Sorry for the OT, but sometimes this is what we talk about on the air as we socialize and discuss things.
