Dgyuro and everybody really

I just want to make it clear that is not affiliated with HF Signals, and the way that I get information on shipping dates is from this list like everybody else!

There was a bit of reaction to constructors posting their shipping notices on the list a week or two ago, which led to the date of 24 January remaining unchanged for a week or more. A recent post showed that HF Signals had shipped a 1 Feb 2018 order, so the info has been updated.?? I think it has proved helpful for people to post when they have received notice that their order has been shipped.? It is less helpful to know when it has arrived (because this depends on shipping method and country).

I think it may be helpful for those waiting if I were to estimate where HF Signals is up to with shipping (they seem to be running around 2 months behind incoming orders still).?? I will do that daily, correcting the data when a posting is made of an actual shipping date.??

It's great to see people's builds.? I am putting these up on ubitx.net in the gallery section.? Many constructors find it helpful to look at other people's ideas for panel layouts, case type, etc. before committing to their own build.? "Dogs" may be the exception!

Most of us have been patient and didn¡¯t complain. He has posted on web site what order date was shipping. I think he is trying to solve a few problems. 4000 in a few months from India not bad. Be patient ?I waited 2 months. ?

Sigh. So, this forum constitutes daily notification that you¡¯re going to have to wait a long time to get one of these devices.?

They are ?being made in a far part of the world, (what some of us might even consider third world), and the building is partially done by indigenous population.

They¡¯re selling for a fraction of what they¡¯re worth.

Maybe if we took up a collection, or they raise the price considerably, they could hire a clerical person just to do all these notifications to the multiple thousands purchasers. I agree with you that I think that could be done by a clerical person. ?There are ?probably in excess of 1000 kit back order right now, and so an email to each of the thousand purchasers could be sent out every day notifying them of their projected mailing date. ?

In general it¡¯s a couple months, but it could be shorter or longer, and it could change if they suddenly run out of toroid, which has happened, or if a batch of components is defective. ?Clerical personnel ?could keep everyone up-to-date on this.

Let¡¯s see, a database to keep track of all the orders, process endpoints & thresholds ?reached by each batch,, inventory monitoring,?a email sent to each person at about one minute per person per email.

60 emails per hour, 16 hours of work per day, now we need to or 2 1/2 FTE 16 hours of work per day, now we need two or 2 1/2 FTE. But we also need a database person to keep the database working....

Hmmmmm. ? Dunno......

ok, I`m also still waiting.
I can understand that if parts are missing there would be a delay, what I can not understand is the way of "communication". It should not be any problem to inform buyer about the delay with an e-mail, if someone think that this is too much work, simply with an announcement in this forum or on the web page.
?No information, but collecting money, makes buyers not happy and the risk that they will escalate this behaviour to pay-pal will increase with the risk that the easy possibility to order and pay will be stopped.
