I just got the uBitx on the air this week. ?Running CEC firmware. ?I have had comments that my audio sounds muddy. ?No highs. ?I find that running the IF shift at -600 makes the receive audio sound much more natural. ?I have tried three different mics but all sound muddy. ?The best sounding is the stock capsule. ?I have even tried eq settings on a pre-amp. ?Still no highs. ?Would changing the BFO change TX audio quality? ?Don¡¯t want to totally mess things up. ?Am I expecting too much? ?Thanx for your help. 73-Gary
