I am working on something similar for the microphone side with a SSM2167, and am doing a lot of thinking about how to do that on the RX side.? Someone recently used a programmable TI audio amp chip for compression and limiting.? I was thinking of using the SSM2167 in a similar way, and leaving the stock ?B audio amp in place.
