OK, so now even more pieces fall into place
I couldn't figure out how an extra class licensee was having such trouble finding parts on a board?? So now it makes more sense.? Everyone has strengths and weaknesses.? ?Tausciam learns SO FAST that he went from tech to extra in 3 months.....and didn't
quite get basic busted circuit fixin' class.? ? So....he's getting it now!? ?Give this fellow another three months at the rate HE is going and he may be DESIGNING radios!
At some point he's going feel more comfortable after this unpleasant it-didnt-work!-shock? and he'll start to BELIEVE us when we tell him tricks to use his receiver to test portions of the circuit --- but that may be a lot easier when he's doing it with
a $59 general purpose receiver.....than with a multi-hundred-dollar-micro-circuitry-Yaesu product!!!!? ? ?
Everyone comes into ham radio with different strengths and weaknesses, and not everyone puts in the effort to "round out" their skills.
Apparently Purdum is a world famous C etc coder.? ?I'm not world famous but I did write the following book to try and help folks gain some skills:
