Re: GPS for time and Maidenhead for port ops

The QRP-Labs Ultimate3S has that capability (GPS integration, Maidenhead, time, freq) and it's got an Arduino in there.? It's at least possible.

Hi all,

I'm interested in taking a Bitx40 and/or uBitX for portable operations, particularly for park activations.
One idea that strikes is the potential to use a GPS receiver with the Raduino to display time (as UTC or local) and the lat/long of the port site, or as Maidenhead.
My question to the group - is this feasible/practical to do it all?
My Arduino knowledge is nil but, if this was practical then I have an interesting learning curve.

I'd be interested to learn thoughts from the group.
