Ok good... thanks. I finally feel like I'm starting to get somewhere with this. I had measured the resistance between source and drain on the mosfet and found that it was close to 0. That also led me to believe it's blown, but I was reading up on it this morning and read that it depends on which lead you use on which leg...that, if you use the wrong one, it will open the mosfet and you will get close to 0 because it's working...not because it's blown. So, I will go through this to see...I had measured before it blew and after, but I may have measured with different leads on the legs.
