John--that switching step up power supply is probably what is inside of the potted device I bought on Amazon ( or something similar.)
Maybe hang a bit of capacitance on the output, like 500 ?F or so and some 0.1 microfarads to short out some of the RF hash and that might work well. ?

a couple of months ago? with the intent of trying them to provide higher voltage to the PA, but haven't gotten a chance to try it yet.
