I thought some folks might be interested in this continued experiment. I ordered up some RD15HVF's and replaced the IRF510, in the hopes of getting higher output than 5w at 14mhz, and 10w at 7mhz. The pinout is different, but that was easy enough to work around. The output on both bands is exactly the same, but I noticed this chip was a /lot/ easier to adjust. It's also physically smaller. Overall the IRF510 is fine, and works fine at 5w on 14mhz.?
