OK I am reviving my very old thread, because without getting it working, I put it aside -- for a few years! ?Now trying again. It is a Bitx20A kit from Hendricks, built but never worked right for long.
So now I think I have have a problem with the nim preamp. ?I was trying align it and accidentally injected my signal generator's default signal into the mic input. ?That's 10 volts at 10 kHz. ?Maybe I blew Q15? ?Any suggestions how to check? ?Maybe voltages on Q15? ?Or signal past it? ?I have spare 2n3904s liying around and could switch it out but I'd like to test first if possible. ?I have a scope. ?Thanks in advance,
